Thanks, Gretchen! We're not giving up. I knew my stubborn streak

would come in handy one day.... = )

,

I don't think we have met, forgive me if I don't take time to

introduce myself at 3am...LOL I'm up nursing my 7 month

old..anyway..My Sydney is 3 and we too can't seem to get enough

water into her! 50 oz a day, can you imagine? We purchased a snow

cone (hawaiian ice) machine at Biggs. Then we add some color and

flavor and eat it with a spoon.. Maybe Langan would like it too?

Jenn,

We've been making the jello as jello and she LOVES it. It has also

been nice to be able to give it to her as a treat during the day.

And since it isn't calculated into the diet, we will be using it to

work on finger feeding, too. It has been hard to do any finger

feeding with her meals b/c of the need to get it all in. She is a

messy little eater. = )

We do syringe some into her but it is a real chore. Her medicines

go in by syringe so she is pretty wary when it comes near her mouth.

Thanks for the ideas! We'll keep on trying!

> We were told to use jello as a fluid - are you able to do this as

well? One way to get a little more fluid into them. Another things

I used to do with Mike (got the idea from my neighbor) was to give

him a cup and a syringe and let him syringe his water into his

mouth - not as accurate as I would've liked back then - but it got

him drinking.

walmart has an ice shredding machine/snow cone machine for $10. You add the ice

to the top and it comes out the side all nice and chipped, small enough to drink

through a straw even. Add your whatever anf wala.

Dina,

Thanks for the great idea! I tried freezing her koolaid (her new

favorite thing) and crushing it but I think it was too cold for

her. But maybe a snowcone machine would be better- the shaved ice

seems like it would go down better than crushed. We'll have to see

if we can find a machine and try it.

Thanks!
