Guest guest
Funny, I've seen that story line before!!! _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of E. Bledsoe, DO, FACEP Sent: Monday, January 16, 2006 4:56 PM To: ; Paramedicine Subject: New EMS Movie Coming Soon From the director of the highly-acclaimed " Broke Back Mountain " comes the sequel " Broke Ass Paramedic " . This heart-rending story details two EMTs who fall in love but can never be married. Unlike " Broke Back Mountain " , the characters in " Broke Ass Paramedic " are not gay--in fact they are homophobic. But, their love can never be consummated because they have to work 120 hours a week to make the payments on his 2001 F150 Ford pickup truck and her 1999 Nissan Sentra with 121,000 miles. Also, there is the trailer rent and child support. Follow these dedicated public servants as they take verbal abuse from a 72-year-old nursing home nurse, a 26-year-old internal medicine resident and an ambulance company owner who drives a Bentley and has three houses (Lake Tahoe, Santa Fe and Long Island). Ride with them as they are forced to miss meals, sit for 2-hours in a dialysis center waiting room, and argue with a dispatcher whose frontal lobotomy actually increased her IQ. In the end, they find that their love will survive--one gets a job as a nurses aid at Last Chance Nursing Home and the other doubles his income by taking a delivery route for Genuine Draft Beer. The thrilling world of EMS comes to you in wide-screen Technicolor. Coming soon to a theatre near you.

Guest guest
I saw this movie, and though it was realistic, it was too much of a " chick flick " for me. Instead, I'd like to mention the other sequel that's out to the movie Hostel....which is named " Hostile " . It's the story of a team of medics that are lured to the promise of a patient by an Evil EMS Overlord (Death Ray) and his dispatch assistant. Upon the medic's arrival to this scene, they are prevented to reach their objective by the Evil EMS Overloard's assistant....Igor Pugo. The movie earned it's " R " rating for brutal scenes of torture and violence, and there is some graphic language.
