Guest guest
Hi Rosemary, Just to put a different perspective on it - my daughter is the technical manager of the IMVS in Adelaide and used to do allergy testing when she worked in microbiology. She has had VEGA testing done as part of her scleroderma treatment and says that the VEGA machine is at least as accurate as RAST testing, which is the standard method and is also unreliable. Guest guest
Hi Rosemary! Geoff Crenshaw here > Deano, > Thanks for your info. So, I am very wary of these > kinds of " unproven " tests. ( I don't want upset anyone who feels they are Just wanted to chime-in with a bzzz... wrong answer. (LOL- couldn't resist!) No, it's not the same thing. The BioMeridian in the discussion is done by machine. It is quite simple, really, it just measures the low-level amounts of electrical conductivity on the skin along these paths. This conductivity is properly called Galvanic Skin Response, or GSR for short, and has been used by authorities as one of the measurements in polygraph machines, along with respiration, heart rate & BP. The GSR is directly and individually measurable as a mechanical function. Now what people do with the information they get from that data is a whole other ball game. There are people who attempt to measure muscle strength by hand, etc., and here I have to say I don't see much reliability either. For my taste it is too dependent on the individual doing the testing, and although some are very good, some are Bozo's. Guest guest
Dear This is exactly the reason I wouldn't waste my time, energy and money on these things anymore. By the way, I had a rast test a few years ago and it showed that I am not allergic to anything at all! For 22 years I have been reacting to foods and chemicals badly enough to put me into an environmental control unit for 6 weeks! Everything I ate was going through me until I got down to about 90lbs. If I eat anything with gluten in it I usually end up with a severe migraine and loss of vision. It would be nice if we could get some reliable tests. Regards, Rosemary. rheumatic Additional Biomeridian Info. > > > > > >> I did a bit of searching and here is what I've come up with.
