Oh... I really should have rechecked these levels... I would bet that the TSH was 5.6 not .56. He wouldn't send me copies, said I had to get them from the records dept. Actually, he could have but baby docs hate to rock the boat. Doesn't matter...I'll get them....

Topper you said you wanted to oogle the test results so do so......she's still ignoring me [paranoia, paranoia] ;;;))))

Latest Test Results

Ok...doc just called and gave me the values..

TSH .56 [3.5-5.50] Previous # 7.04

Free T4 1.19 [.59-1.76] Previous # .37

Free T3 142 [forgot to ask the range, my bad]

He said since they were all in range that I was just fine.... But what do you all think......

The test for cortisol hasn't shown up.... I will call again next week sometime for that one.

I think every thing needs to be imporved considerably.... Although at this moment I am on

a short course of predinsone so I am feeling pretty good although that won't last very long.

You're T4 isn't that low..... what I'm waiting for, I thought I'd sent the response... is the range for the Free T3 to see how you are converting.

Low TSH and High T4 with low T3 would show that you are either a poor converter or that your body is unable to process synthetic.... Sorry, my brain isn't remembering what you're taking....

"Most folks" feel best with their Free T4 at mid range or slightly higher.... and with the Free T3 at the top of it's range, or slightly over.

Your lab's mid range for Free T4 is [ ((1.76-.59)/2)+.59 ] which would be: 1.175

Your level is just a hair (0.015) over that mid range.... So we have to see what your Free T3 is to see how you are converting. If you are not converting sufficient amounts of T3, you're still gonna feel like crap.

Your TSH isn't all that low either... mine was .333 and both my frees were at the bottom end of their ranges....

TSH .333 .35 - 5.50

Free T4 .9 .8 - 1.8

Free T3 2.9 2.3 - 4.2

Ok...Topper is still ignoring me. I found my watch this am... it has been missing for some time now, but I have been too miserable to care or look for it.. but it has a second hand so I have been able to check my pulse which has been running high, like 90-115 or so. It was pretty good today, about 70 and not much higher after a little activity.

Topper, or for that matter anyone. Can my TSH really be that low and have such low levels of T3 and T4?
