Are Kosher Products Ok Of they have salt?

I am preparing for my second scan this March. While in the super

market I came across the kosher prodcuts. They were a few items

(spagetti sauce, salsa and soups) I would love to use if I can. But,

they have salt listed. However, a Jewish guy in the store told me

that that was kosher salt. The products all had a symbol indicating

parve. What's the deal on kosher products? Does anyone know?
