Guest guest
I know this has been asked before but i can't find it in the archives. This is driving me nuts. Ok, Isabella's has bilateral cf. Her right foot she tends to turn it slightly sideways. She can move it where the bottom of her foot is down but for some reason she likes to hold it where the bottom of her foot is toward her other foot. I hope i am explaining this well. I feared that this foot would relapse but Dr. Bonar said that her dosoflex (however you spell it) is over 90 degrees and when you stand her up she will stand with her feet flat on the floor. Is her feet not going to be perfectly straight? Her left foot to me looks better than her right foot. That right foot drives me nuts when she turns it sideways like that and when she pulls that foot up to her mouth the bottom of the foot is facing upwards like when they were clubbed, but when she lays it down it is only turns sidways slightly. Is this common, does anyone elses childs foot do this? I know i should trust Dr.Bonar but this foot is driving me nuts and worries me. When she is sleeping it isn't turned sideways it sets normal. Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks
Guest guest
Dear , HI! I talked to my husband before I e-mailed you, and we both agreed and have the same opinion. Our son did that, and as they grow they tend to do it (the foot turning) less and less. Our doctor told us the same thing, that children, even those without club foot do that until they are " seasoned " walkers, which is about 3 or 4. He told us that if did that with his right foot (his left foot is the one that is club), that when is 3 or 4, then he would take more aggresive action. We had thought about a brace for , but Dr. Snyder felt it would be too much for him and it was not necessary. This was when was abot 6-13 months. He is now almost 17 months and tends to do that less. I hope this helps and I have explained adequately If you still have concerns, what about a second opinion? What does your pediatrician think? I know its tough, becuase our pediatrician is great, he's actually a friend of our family...but it seems that they do not have a very clear understanding of club foot, obviously that is why we take our children to the specialists. Take Care!!! Amy Position of the foot??????? I know this has been asked before but i can't find it in the archives. This is driving me nuts. Ok, Isabella's has bilateral cf.
