Hi Sunny,

You asked about cytomel. I have noticed a real difference since starting

it about 6 months ago. but I also use dessicated thyroid with it.

Synthroid did nothing for me, and the dessicated thyroid ( armour is one

brand) was much better, but it still wasn't enough.

So now I take dessicated 90 mg and cytomel 25mcg a day. Splitting up the

dose seems to be a good idea.

It would help to see your latest blood test results and the parameters.

Subject: New here

Hi Everyone,

I'm a new member and this is my first time posting to this group. I

was diagnosed with hypothyroid and Hashimoto's disease a year ago.

I have been on a rollercoaster of medication changes (Synthroid

doses) up and down since then. Recently, I was prescribed Cytomel

since I wasn't feeling better and still experiencing lots of

symptoms. So now I'm getting both T3 and T4.

I have experienced exhaustion, digestive problems, memory problems,

and lots and lots of hair loss. My weight fluctuates a little but I

am pretty thin. I also don't get periods and I am sure there are

other symptoms that I'm forgetting due to memory loss, ha. When I

started taking Synthroid last year, I also ended up with a few bald

spots. They've started to grow in but very slowly. I am still

losing hair, but it's slowed down since starting the Cytomel a few

weeks ago. I think some of the other symptoms have gotten a bit

better but I'm hesitant to say so because I'm still early into

taking the medication.

Has anyone else experienced hair loss or anything similar to what I

have? This whole experience has been pretty scary and I am praying

my hair will stop falling out/grow back and I will start feeling

better. What about your thoughts on Cytomel?

Thanks!

Sunny
