Guest guest
Well I as reported earlier have only lost 5 pounds in 5 weeks. Depressing, but the clothes are much better, really hoping to be one size smaller in a couple weeks. On the energy side though, I wasnt gettting tired and achy raking leaves last week like I was last year. As far as keeping carbs low, its not hard for me as im a big meat eater and veggie hater :-) The challenge did make me realized I was eating more carbs then I thought with nuts though, so now I either buy prepacked with the carb count or count them carefully. Guest guest
Yes you are right, but at my weight I was hoping for 2 pounds a week. Im not trying for anything more then that really, not trying to be unreasonable about it...guess hoping for the 12 pounds was a bit more then 2 a week, but I dont think 2 a week is too much to ask for considering all the exercising im doing! I do think my big problem is my meat though. I eat really fatty cuts of meat and lots of it. Like 12-16 ounces in a meal. I think average people eat about 8? I think that might be my problem, too many calories, but if I dont eat that much meat, I stay hungry. I know 1 pound a week is way better then nothing..I should probably quit complaining :-( In a message dated 3/27/01 1:01:50 PM Eastern Standard Time, bocock@... writes: > ...AS YOU KNOW....1-2 pounds a week is all you are supposed to be > losing. Guest guest
Well i did feel stalled as I lost most of my weight in the first two weeks I think. BUt i am moving now, it was probably the bars. I wouldn't mind upping the carbs a bit, sometimes I would like more veggies. but then I am the one of the four of us that consistently has my carbs above 20, so if no one else does, or if Dianne says no that's Ok too. I am doing pretty well and at times the limit of 25 has kept me from eating bad things. a Re: Survivor challenge ...AS YOU KNOW....1-2 pounds a week is all you are supposed to belosing. Guest guest
a, I am thrilled for you! You really kept at it and it really paid off. Nothing succeeds like success! To answer Joya's question, I feel like I have stalled. The first time I went on Atkins I lost 6# in the first 3 days. This time, I have lost only 7# in the past 5 weeks we have been on the Island. I can honestly say that I have not "cheated" once. After the first few weeks I gave up the bars. I have really increased my water and activity level. I will admit that I have been snacking on macadamias for a few days - maybe that's it? I'd sure like to feel the way a does!!! I want to weight 135 too when all is said and done, but i set my goal for 150 thinking it was more realistic to have a first goal. a Re: Survivor challenge ...AS YOU KNOW....1-2 pounds a week is all you are supposed to belosing.
