Tom:

You just need to grease the joint. Your surgeon should have

installed a zerk fitting on the side of your hip. These fittings

accept any standard grease gun. Be sure you only use petroleum jelly

as the other greases can cause an allergic reaction.

The squeaking is pretty normal for up to 1-year or more and should

decline with time. Its probably just part of the normal wear-in

process. During the first month, my hips made noise very frequently

when walking. I'm now 1-year 8-months and still get the occasional

noise, usually when I am breaking new ground in my range of motion.

Good Luck.

--Too bad you didn't go to Dr Mont, you get the zirk in your

naval. Just go into the Mobil station once every 3 thousand miles,

give a pint of blood to keep up with 's protocol and gimme some

lithium in me belly button. You even get to ride on the hoist.
