Guest guest
Hi , Well, finally I have the seatbelt/safety restraint information for you. It is: E-Z-On Products, Inc. of Florida 605 Commerce Way West Jupiter, Florida 33458 (t) (fax) The product is called E-Z-On Vest and they have two kinds--one for seat mount (regular car) and floor mount (school buses, vans, etc). It has heavy duty straps with nice lambskin harness straps. It looks like an " H " shape seat belt system. We have used these with some of our students with great success--safe and comfortable and they don't look terrible. The kids have been comfortable and better still, have not been able to get out of them (even the most Houdini-like of them all!!) I " googled " E-Z-On Vest and there are pictures of it and prices (under $300.) Good luck and let us know if you purchase it and how it goes. pam Pamela J. , M.A., CAGS Licensed Educational Psychologist Perkins School for the Blind, Deafblind Program 175 North Beacon St. Watertown, MA 02472 > ---------- > From: CHARGE on behalf of Jayem14@... > Reply To: CHARGE > Sent: Thursday, March 23, 2006 9:56 PM > To: CHARGE > Subject: safety in the car > > Hello all, > I have not responded to anyone in a while and sometimes I feel guilty to write in, but I need your help. Things have been very crazy in the Murray house. I will spare the details because it would take to long to write all that has happened in the past 2 1/2 months. > For now my main concern is the car. had managed to unbuckle the seatbelt aong time ago and then learned how to undue the safety knob the bus driver had got for him. When I firmly tell him to sit back down it usually works, but now has learned to slither out of his. The other day I had both of them out of their seat, climbing in and out of the back and all during major traffic on a major road. is not affected by me firmly telling him to sit down. I had to pull over 4 times and it still did not make a difference. He thinks it is a game and then it eggs his brother on. Does anyone have a solution? I was wondering if they made oversized car seats or harnesses that could be used in the car. Has anyone else dealt with this? Please I need some ideas. The car is sometimes an outlet for us and I do not want it to become dangerous. Matt already feel into the console and busted up his lip, tooth and then banged > his head hard. Oh my...the things these kids are capable of. > Thanks, > Murray > mom to twin Chargers and (9 yrs. on Sunday-unbelievable) and wife to Jay the patient one!!! > > >
