Our OT lent us several different " seats " for feeding...and they work great.

Perhaps ask them if they have anything? They didn't offer them up until I asked

and then it was like we got everything, so you never know until you ask! :)

Good luck! How is Eva doing post op at home?

else I can use that had good head control? I would use her highchair

but she sleeps in it and that would not be good and her head control

is not that great yet.

Crystal, I think I have the exact bouncy seat you have (if I remember right

from your pics). My daughter, too, is too big for hers....but we still use

it. We just prop the back part (the top, above her head) against a couch ,

or on top of the ottoman. It won't bounce anymore, but it still works for

the feeds. I can't put Meggy in her high chair because it tends to give her

facial palsys (DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS ISSUE????). So, propping the

bouncy does the trick for us. I actually still let her bounce in it. It

almost touches the floor now, but she still loves it. She weighs 21 pounds,

and is 32 inches tall, so you have an idea of how much she has outgrown it.

As for the car seat, Meggy in the last couple of months, has been in her big

girl car seat. It is a forward facing one, but it has the padded bar that

comes down from above her head and stops in front of her chest. This

particular car seat works good for us because she is not very strong. The

bar allows her to feel in control of her body because if she starts to get a

little floppy, she puts her hands on the bar and drums on in and rubs it.

Eventually she becomes so engrossed in playing with it, she forgets to be

floppy. If she falls asleep, it has the 5 point harness that hold her in

place, as well as the bar. It is so padded, that if she barely leans forward

it stops her. So, sometimes, I'll look back and she will be ever so

slightly forward with her head rested against the padded bar. I hope this

helps. The car seat was scary for me....but this particular car seat has

been a God send!

Hi Crystal,

Raegan likes to have her tube feeds in the Fisher Price Infant to Toddler

Rocker. I purchased it at Target, but I know that Babies R Us and Toys R Us have

it as well. It cost between $30 and $40 and it is for infants up to 40 pounds.

I love this chair and so does my 3 year old, who weighs 30 lbs so she can sit in

it also. Raegan loves it too, she falls asleep in it all the time. Hope this

helped. Glad to hear Eva is doing well since her surgery.

I never have to worry about what equipment is next, because thats my

OT's problem, do you not have an OT?? they are supposed to check our

children every couple of weeks, and then they take things from there,

for example, Amelie has a hydraulic chair for sitting in, and every

couple of months she re measures her hip and thigh area and modifies

the chair accordingly, same for my car seat, bathing aids etc, the

only thing we are waiting on is a special cot, hydraulic with tilt for

reflux, but because at the moment we have no bedroom for Amelie, we

have to manage with the cot situation, but otherwise our OT has been

excellent.

good luck with Eva, Amelie weighed 12.46kg on the ward this week we

were really pleased considering she has diarrohea with her jejunum

feeds.

love Les and Chanettes x
