Guest guest
hi everyone, just a question that someone brought up to me yesterday at work. A friend of my coworker has problems with her thyroid. She doesn't have cancer just thyroid problems. Anyway her dr i don't know if it was an endo or a regular dr said that the floride in toothpaste and even in the watersystem can cause damage to the thyroid so her friend only brushes once in awhile with tooth paste and the rest of the time she uses baking soda. Has anyone else heard of this? kind of makes one wonder doesn't it
Guest guest
Actually, I think it's drinking tap water which contains flouride that has been blamed for this. But for those who are concerned about their toothpaste, the brand Sandy is thinking of is called Tom's of Maine, but be warned: most of their toothpastes do contain flouride. Check the labels to make sure you're getting the non-flouridated one. Best wishes, --Carmen in nyc > Yes, I have heard this same thing. Guest guest
Just wanted to mention that Tom's of Maine toothpaste has carageenan. It is my regular toothpaste so I stopped using it and bought Crest (yuck). So fluoride isn't good either? I hadn't heard that. -Lilly > > > > > THere are naturall toothpastes out there without flouride > > > in them. Guest guest
I think I missed something too. I've been on the LID for 1 week, and have been using my regular toothpaste. What is the problem? Also, I've been eating chicken, any problem with that? It's on the thyca LID, but it seems a lot of people aren't eating it. Any advice is appreciated, as I'd hate to have done all this for nothing by making a crucial error! Thanks,
