Guest guest
Janice, I don't think the wasp sting will hurt the baby at all. As for the sleeping problem I know there are safe products out there that you can use, but you would have to ask your dr about what exactly is safe. I remember when I was in the hospital before I had Casey (for 13 weeks). Every night the nurse would come in and ask me if I wanted my sleeping pill. I would always say no, but the point is there must be something safe because they obviously knew I was pg - lol! One of the other ladies in the group was having problems sleeping, but I can't remember what she was taking. I would suggest that you ask your dr at your next appt. I hope this helps. Love & hugs, Jo-Ann 2 ?s--bee stings and sleeping medication Hello! I have two questions and was hoping someone might could shed some light. I got stung on the foot yesterday by either a yellow jacket or a wasp. My foot’s just a little swollen and itchy. I know this is a really dumb question, but I had to ask—would the sting hurt the baby in any way? Like are there any chemicals from the stings that could enter the womb? Also, I have been having a terrible time sleeping. I can fall asleep with no problem, but every sound and my bladder constantly wakes me up. I used to never hear my husband’s alarm and now I hear everything. I’ve tried ear plugs, but they don’t help much. Does anyone know if there’s anything safe to take for sleeping while pg? Or is it better just to tough it out? I don’t want to hurt my baby, but I am so irritable from not getting a good night’s rest. I’ve debated about checking into a motel room for one night (we have noisy neighbors). Janice 18 weeks
Guest guest
Janice, I don't think the wasp sting should hurt the baby. As for trouble sleeping, my ob said I could take Tylenol PM recently.....I don't know, I have only taken it twice. Maybe you could ask your dr and see what he/she says. 19wk5d ----- Get more from the Web. Guest guest
Janice, I'm not sure about the bee stings. Unfortunately, I think the only thing you can take to help sleep while pg is chamomile tea! If you find anything else, let me know. Take care, DeeAnn > Hello! Guest guest
Janice, Reading Jo-Ann's post reminded me that Seconal is okay on occasion during pg. It is addictive, and not good for more than the rare occasion. I did take it once while pg with Daisy, and she's had no side effects. Guest guest
Janice, Hi. Sorry to reply so late! I would call on the bee sting. I am allergic to bees but my mom and dad are not??? I would just check into it too be safe. I carry benedryl for such allergies and it is safe to take while pg. As for sleep problems, I took tylenol pm early in my pg, I had bad insomnia. It did help. Oh, and back to the benedryl, that can help some people sleep too. Take care, 38 Weeks -- In PregnancyBabiesAfterEctopic@y..., " Carmac " <ccarmac@t...> wrote: > Hello! Guest guest
, That is a great idea! I always forget to ask everything when I go to the dr. and I don’t go back until next Thursday for my ultrasound. Sorry you are having so much rain. It’s like 95 here in NC. I can’t imagine being in the third trimester of pg during the summer. I am so hot and miserable and I’m barely showing. Janice 18wks .. Get more from the Web.
