Guest guest
AmyR I am so happy your u/s went well. I had seen other womens u/s photos before but seeing your own little baby kicking around is amazing. I know our tech told us if something was wrong they would tell us right away. I think having the u/s is such a relief. What a bummer you couldn't find out the sex. I personally am excited about being surprised. Guest guest
Amy R., I'm so glad the u/s went well sweetie. Sorry the baby wasn't cooperating so you could find out the sex. I didn't find out the sex of my first either and it was truly exciting in the delivery room. Besides, unless you have an amnio nothing is guaranteed. My girlfriend was told she was having a girl. She decorated everything in pink, bought all kinds of girly clothes and surprise, surprise it was a BOY - so you just never know. I'm sure that Bob will surprise you in the delivery room. At least most men do. Love & hugs, Jo-Ann AmyR's u/s WOW! I knew there was a baby in there, but nothing can describe the feelingof actually getting to see it!! Well, I got up a couple hours before theu/s and ate a big breakfast and I drank a glass of koolaid (sugar!!!)shortly before leaving the house. The baby was awake cause the bottom partof it's little legs were kicking all over the place (and I couldn't feel athing! ...that was a weird realization too!), but the legs were to closetogether up where it really mattered for the u/s tech to tell us boy or girl:( She said she would guess girl because she hadn't seen any boy parts, butthat she couldn't be real sure since the legs were so close together.WAHHHHHHH! Oh well, I guess we will just have to be surprised on the BIGDAY! Other then that, she said everything looked good and healthy...whichis what I was MOST interested in hearing her say! Of course her word isn'tthe final say so...but the dr told me at the last appt that they would callif something was really wrong...so no news is GOOD news! I tried to followalong while the tech was doing all the measurements before showing usthings...most things measured right around the same wks and days as I am,but the legs were at 20wk3d, which is a week beyond where I am. Oh, itwould be so nice for this baby (especially if a girl) if she has Bob's longlegs and not my short little ones!!Bob was of course very amusing. He was so nervous this morning (over an u/s:)!) that he had an upset tummy. His comments during the u/s were pricelessand he kept telling the tech that he was going to pass out in the deliveryroom...she tried to encourage him and told him that he just might surprisehimself in the heat of the moment....so far he's not buying it...boy oh boyam I ever in for it, if he was this bad at what I would call a very simpleroutine u/s!-AmyR19wk2d
Guest guest
Pam, I was excited about finding out today, but since that didn't go as planned, I'm excited to find out on the birth day! And I know that then I will not be told " nope, sorry we aren't sure yet " ;o) -AmyR 19wk2d
Guest guest
Amy, I am so glad to hear things went well and the baby is healthy!!!!! It is strange to think that the little one is moving around in there so much and we don't feel it more. I know when we had the last u/s Don said he/she was really moving around but I know the dr said he/she seems quite active, so I thought I would feel him/her alittle more than I do. I am sorry you didn't get to find out what you are having. I guess he/she wants to keep you in suspense. Poor Bob, I hope he is going to be ok in there!!lol!! It should be interesting!!! The nurse is probably right, he might just surprise himself once he is actually in that delivery room. I am happy for both of you though. When do you go back to dr? Congrats on the u/s!!! 19wks5dGet more from the Web. FREE MSN Explorer download : http://explorer.msn.com

Guest guest
Jo-Ann, Very true that they could have been wrong anyway...my sister kept reminding me of that. I told Bob afterwards that my mom was going to be very disappointed. I think she wanted to know more then any more else. And he said we could just tell her a girl since it most likely is (he's been convinced of this since almost day 1). " I said absolutelty not! If you think she's been bad about buying stuff so far, just you see what happens if you tell her it is a girl...buying sprees will go into high gear and everything will be pink! " He thought twice about it after that. -AmyR

Guest guest
, I go back to see the nurse in 2wks from Thursday...my dr is going to be out of town for a bit, so as long as nothing comes up I will just see the nurse for the usual monitoring stuff. So I don't actually see the dr until 6wks from Thursday. The next time I see the dr I'll be 26wks...WOW! Do you see the dr again before your u/s or will you see her shortly after it? -AmyR

Guest guest
Amy, I can just see the wonder in your eyes! How exciting!!! With Daisy's 1st u/s, the dr said the same thing. Guest guest
Amy R. Hi! I'm so glad the ultrasound went well. I had to laugh at your dh's nervousness at the u/s!! My husband is really really really squeamish in hospitals in general, he made it through all 4 births with out passing out, so your dh might be just fine!!! Bob almost passed out though, when he had knee surgery and they came in to draw a vial of blood.....he is so funny when it comes to his own blood....So happy to hear you got to see your baby!! and everything looks good! Guest guest
DeeAnn, I was thinking the same thing before even having the u/s...that it would be much easier to tell if it was a boy then it would be to tell it was a girl. Bob is convinced that it is a girl because if it was a boy, he says there would have been no mistaking it! MEN!! -AmyR

Guest guest
AmyR, Congrat's on having getting a good report on the u/s! It is a truly amazing sight seeing your little baby in your tummy. I'm glad you and Bob enjoyed it. I'd be willing to bet your having a girl as well... When my OB did the first u/s on Emma he said it didn't look like it was a boy because he couldn't see any boy parts. Even though he couldn't see any girl parts either. He did another u/s the following month and was then able to see her girl parts. How exciting for you! {{{HUGS}}}
