Hi Gossimer

I've been on 3.75 grains for 3 weeks and I am planning to wait another 3 weeks before I increase to 4 grains.

Yes, I do take everything that you mentioned although I started taking potassium just a few days ago. We are having very hot weather and my feet and lower legs swell up a lot in the heat.

Re: Does anyone else have these symptoms?

Topper,

the only thing that comes to mind is that I had an aromatherapy massage on Tuesday and then on Wednesday morning I had the foot pain when I got out of bed. It only lasted for a day so maybe it was that.

I know what you mean about the heat, yesterday it was 88 degrees inside and I was wilting, my feet and lower legs swell up until I think the skin is going to burst!

Lynda

Re: Does anyone else have these symptoms?

Lynda.... the day or two before the pain started... did you do any extra walking, standing... anything like that? Or were you short on sleep? I'm not saying that it MUST be something as simple as muscle fatigue but the symptoms that you describe are not uncommon for me when I've been over doing it... or when I skip meals and the heat is intolerably high for me.

It's plantar faciitis.... the most telling symptom is that it hurts worse after you've been sitting or laying and then get up and stand and start walking.. after you've been walking for a while it hurts less but still hurts....

I could be.. make a note of that to yourself.... or start a journal... so that if it happens again you can refer back... Journals are awesome, they give you a record of how YOUR body is reacting to things....

I believe I have the program that I use in the files section off the group home page... it's called Smart Diary... it's freeware... unless you want all the bells and whistles of the program (which are pretty cool) then you have to pay.

It allows you to keep a regular diary and records things like moods, and such... It's password protected so that you don't have to worry about others snooping in your stuff... and the data files can be sent to floppy disk to store if you'd like. It's pretty cool.

/I would wait longer to increase to 4 grains, some people push up beyond their

'sweet point' by upping to a schedule and then later find they can't get to a

place where they feel good. Slower is better- especially after 3 grasins/

>I have MANY other symptoms, but want to keep this short. Any other stories od

symptoms would be GREATLY aprreciated!!!!! I am very worried that something

else may be happening/developing concurrently. Something neurological like MS.

Sounds to me like it could be adrenal.

Have a read of this link and try the temperature test of the Dr Rind

site from there

I would suggest an electrolkyte panelk and RBC potassium test. I had a

NORMAL potassium in serum levls (4.2) and my RBC was lwo and I had this

same symptpoms. I also had chronic Diarrhea that had been diagnosed as

SO MANY diseases over the 15 years I suffered wiht it thta just STOPPED

wiht high poitassium supplementation.

Hi! I don't have much to say but i had this exact problem. I too have always

been strong for a woman but then bam this happened. It turned out it was because

i was taking a magnesium / calcium supplement. Some how it made my IRON levels

go down. When i started taking iron i was ok again.

Hope you will be ok if you take iron like me!

Best wishes,

You told me a few months back my potassium was low. Out of interest how much potassium were you taking per day to get rid of these symptoms? I have no idea how to dose so I am asking around for info.

Well I started wiht OTC potassium which did nothing even at 15 tabs a

day. SO I went ot prescription slow release and began feeling better. I

started at 1500mg a day and did labs at 2 weeks, no change so I double

it.. and I kept raising and retesting every 2 weeks and finally at

100Meq (7500mg) a day my sympotoms are gone, including the fluid

reteniton I battled for almost 20 years and Diarrhea for 15 years so I

have held that dose for abotu a year now. I am just this week trying to

lower it a bit. I am liek Delores thogh when I redsuce now I get leg

cramps but I htink my body is just used to dumping alot of potasisum so

I am sticking it out as it is expensive to have to take this much

potasisum all the itme and I SHOULD not need this much every day, so we

shall see if I can now reduce it to a more manageable level.
