I experienced a similar pattern to yours when I was losing weight. A large loss (generally in the neighbourhood of 2.4 - 2.7 lb) followed by two weeks of small losses (.2 - .4 lb) or maintains. I've kind of reset my expectations now that larger losses are coming only every other week.
