Not really - some doctors do a pre-scan, others feel that it's not

important, or that the small dose could interfere with the uptake of

the larger dose.

Your dose is a common one.

From what I've seen in comments from the group members, most people

haven't had the 24 hour urine test. Some doctors don't do it, others

do it routinely, and others use it only in certain circumstances (like

with someone who's had a CT scan within about 10 months or so prior to

the RAI).

LIDs vary quite a bit, according to where the doctors get their diet

or their list of iodine content of different foods. I can't give a

good reason why those particular foods would be excluded. Personally,

I chose to follow the ThyCa LID.
