There are not dumb questions. What I'm planning to do (I'l have my RAI on March

17) is wrap the remote control (and the phone) in plastic.

Respect to the computer I was reading yesterday of somebody that " saran wrap "

the typing thingy and put the mouse inside a sandwich bag, and used gloves. I'm

planning to cover the chair w/plastic too.

Hope this helps. Pat

okay to use the computer at home? It's the family computer so

everyone uses it. Should I wear gloves? What about the television

remote?

Anne,

There are no dumb questions, and yours is a good one! I bought a box

of disposable latex gloves before my RAI and wore them for a week when

I handled anything (including the computer keyboard) that other family

members might touch after me.

Hope this helps,

ellen

I discontinued the gloves and saran once my nuclear med tech gave me

the all clear (i had to go back to the hospital every other day to be

checked and have restrictions lifted based on the results) it was 6

days. i think if you gave it a week or so you'd be all set.

we had saran wrap on everything, the remote, the phones, a strip on

the refrigerator door, the computer keyboard and mouse.. while i was

in isolation, Mike got all the fancy color saran wrap and gift

wrapped the house!
