Guest guest
Hi! I am a 3 year breast cancer survivor. I have never had a bloody discharge, but I know from experience that the only way to find out for sure what it is, is to go to the doctor. It could be something or nothing. It will ease your mind if you make that appt. and talk to the doctor. Let me know if there is anything I can do, besides say a prayer for you. Guest guest
Joanne, please get this checked out by your doctor, preferably a gynocologist, immediately. Tell them about the discharge when you call for an appointment so they'll get you in quicker. It may be nothing more than an infected milk duct. Mine had not bled until my gyn squeezed it during a routine exam. She made a slide of the discharge, which discovered cancer cells. > > i just noticed this morning a bloody discharge from the nipple...has > anyone else experienced this & what was the outcome? thanks... >

Guest guest
It was almost 6 and a half years ago. Gyn sent me for immedidate mammogram which showed suspicious areas, so I had a biopsy, then a lumpectomy that didn't get all the cancer, so had a mastectomy...all within 2 weeks of the routine gyn exam. It turned out that I had 3 kinds of breast cancer, but if it hadn't been for the nipple bleeding when it did (Paget's Disease of the Nipple), the ductal and invasive cancers would not have been found in a timely manner. That was the only time the nipple bled. I had chemo, no radiation. I'm not trying to frighten you to death, but I do want to emphasize that you need to see a doctor as soon as possible. You'll either get a diagnosis or peace of mind that it's nothing serious. > > > > i just noticed this morning a bloody discharge from the nipple...has > > anyone else experienced this & what was the outcome? thanks... > > > > > > > > > > > >
