Guest guest
Wow Toni it sounds like you have been through a major ordeal. Glad you are getting better. I am curious to know what your " Dr. Natale advice " on the meds is -- when you feel up to it. Thanks, Sandy, North Carolina, Cardizem, Toprol, 325mg aspirin and soon to be Dofetilide starting Aug. 27 > > >Saturday night, I was taken by ambulance from Urgent Care to the ER with a > >temp of > >105.1. I was wondering how you are doing. Apparently afib has been the least of your problems, and that's not good. It seems that your sense of humor has survived all your very bad times, and that will help you through. Rest and focus on getting back to the stage where afib is your only problem! :-) in sinus in Seattle

Dr. Natale finally described the actual damage to my heart from my previous SVT ablation ... and it was way worse than I imagined. He said he's surprised I'm not on a pacemaker and that I probably will be within 10 years (totally separate from the a-fib). He also said not to allow ANY doctor, even in an ER, to give me any rhythm control drug, any beta blocker, or any calcium channel blocker as all could stop my heart due to the damage. Fortunately, the doctors listened and kept me on my digoxin regimen. Toni CA

In San Diego, e-mail me privately for the name of the doctor as it seems mentioning bad experiences (he might be a good doctor overall) gets censored on this list. And today I'm feeling a little punky... just threw up my minimal dinner of several hours ago ... not sure what's up with that, but apparently mono does weird things to lots of systems in the body. I think I have them all affected! bleah! But I'm resting and thinking positive ... I do so want to be back to work in a week. Thanks for the good wishes.
