Guest guest
I love the German pronunciation of your name, Liz! I also like Bette. My mother in law is a Betty, and if for some reason by some miracle we ever had a baby, and if for some reason we felt the need to name the child after her, I would definitely use the Bette spelling as opposed to the Betty spelling. Somehow it looks classier. I don't know, no offense to any " Y " Bettys out there. Maybe it's because I've always enjoyed having a name that is different, so I've always wanted to give my child a name that is different, but not TOO different...and of course nothing that rhymes with a body part. > Re: Liz / hugs > > > In a message dated 10/7/2003 7:41:50 PM Pacific Daylight Time, > eccarter@... writes: > > > Mine is pronounced " Aylisabet > > Liz - I remember that pronunciation from my years of studying > French (many > years ago!!).
