Val/Nick - ? HC & Antibiotics

Well, I've been trying not to be a pest, but despite my best efforts, I have a

sinus infection and the doc put me on Augmentin XR which is the only thing that

gets rid of them for me.

Can I continue to take HC and if so, at a stress dose with antibiotics?

I am giving up on the Isocort and going to the real stuff, the Cortef.

I was on about 20 Isocorts.

How should I dose the HC?

I was thinking 10, 7.5, 5, 5, 2.5? I'm just scared because these antibiotics

really kick my butt. I've tried the real HC before and it kicks my butt too.

Would a lower dose work since we know Isocort is weak? Say 7.5, 5, 2.5, 2.5?

The real HC just scares me and my reaction to it has not been good but I feel I

need something stronger at this point. The infection was using up the Isocort

so fast, I could have taken 40 to keep the adrenaline down.

I'm only on 25 - 30 mcg. of T3. And have had 3 rounds of Venofer (ferritin was

24, took 160 mg. orally for a month or so before the Venofer. Was planning to

test ferritin after 4 - 6 rounds.

BTW, I can continue the Venofer while on antibiotics? I told the doc and he

didn't say anything. Maybe someone else who's done the IV's knows the answer to

this since I don't think either one of you have.

Do I ever stop needing to bother you with these kinds of questions?

I'm beginning to feel like I'm taking advantage of you guys. But I need your

help with this.

Thanks,

Donna
