Guest guest
The funny part of all this is, that I wasn't really having any heartburn pain at all. I got the endoscope because of intense stomach pains I had been getting since June. I went to the ER and they did sonogram and CAT scan, nothing, then I had gallbladder checked, nothing, then an MRI, nothing. So they scoped me and found these conditions and want me on this PPI. Then even after two months of daily doses of the PPI I kept getting these intense stomach pains every two weeks. So far it's been 3 weeks so I'm hoping the problem has stopped, but I've had it since June. I told this gastro doctor a month ago I don't think the pains they were investigating were internal at all, but muscle related, and he agreed, but said I still have the other diseases and to keep taking the medicine. He gave me a shot of something in the stomach, but it didn't help. I got the pain again 2 weeks later. When I don't take that PPI for a day I still don't get heartburn at all unless I over do the eating. But I'm afraid to not take it if it's true the esophagitis can turn to cancer if not treated. I also take iron which is hard on the stomach, and so many other supplements. It's all so frustrating to me. I want to make sure I get all the nutrients I'm ingesting, but I'm not sure with this PPI, but I feel I have no choice. > > You cn always take baking soda right after meals.
