I appreciate it and wish you much luck (both of us, mine has not returned fully either) with your GERD (yes, gastro-esophageal reflux disease) and your ongoing life post thyca. I see we both had 150 mCi. Were you hospitalized after? No rush answering, I may really finally get off here after this, since Hypo Hell (highest day, start meds tomorrow) is wearing me out. But I did want to say, FYI, that it's such a miniscule amount of iodine probably in Protonix (was in the WRITING!! on the pill) that my GI doc said " protonix does have positive effects quickly and also leaves the body quickly, so you can take one if you need it during LID). But I was so neurotically obsessed with it (first time) that I eliminated it, and since it's debatable until my 24-hr pH test and endoscopy whether I really have it, but think I do since Protonix works great....did that make sense??????? Also, don't know about you but since we're all so personal here, I had what may've been an unpleasant side effect that went away immediately when I went off Protonix--chronic vaginits, thinking it was yeast and Diflucan wasn't working......So I was willing to have a little indigestion during the period and am still gonna stay off it and see how my voice does post-ablation. It';s all so complicated when you have 'more than one thing' going on medically, but I sure appreciate your e-mail and any other info re: the singing voice. It's very precious to anyone who has that talent, isn't it. Good luck and thanks again! Can share more Protonix stories later if you like!
