Guest guest
Val, not sure if you missed my post. Do you have any suggestions for me or do you think I am just being too impatient as it is likely my ferriten is quite low and I have very weak adrenals despite supplementation. Thanks Pam > > Hi Val > > I am in the middle of my second week on T3 only plus adrenals meds. Is it normal to feel worse at this stage? I have lower temps averaging this week 36.2, have worse energy, practically no stamina and many hypo symptoms. I am needing a lot more sleep and don't wake up feeling refreshed at all. > > My adrenals seem to be more stressed by the T3 only than the dessicated at this stage, sometimes I feel quite aggresive which just isn't me. I have had some nasty attacks of adrenaline raising my bp too high on some occasions despite me taking more steroid. I cannot take more than the 28 mg equivalent h/c I am taking because my bp goes too high and my head then feels horrible. > > I have backed off to 12.5 T3 on waking and the same again around 1 pm. When I added 6.2 at 6 pm last night my head felt terrible and it stayed that way making me feel ill all evening. > > The way I am feeling at the moment I feel like going back to 1 grain ERFA and adding a bit of extra T3 cos when I did that I felt a lot better than now. I am 2 1/2 weeks into adding 325 ferrous sulphate in case that is a problem. > > Just as a reminder in November my TSH was 5.2, free T4 7 range 9-19)T3 wasn't tested. > > Thanks > Pam >

Guest guest
> > How low is your ferritin? > It probably won't be tested for another month when my GP wants another blood test for full thyroid panel plus lipids cos the last results were bad. Last time I had it done was about 4 years ago and my ferriten was around 47 then. I am menopausal so don't have a monthly bleed but do have had several blood tests since then. Guest guest
Oh it can fall not only in menopausal women but in men too as low thyroid tends to cause low ferritin., and not jst from heavy periods. I would suspect your ferritin may be even lower than it was as this is a common cause for T3 to make you feel bad as the body cannto utilize it correctly wiht low ferritin. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
