Position of the foot.

Dear all

I am looking for some advise on the position of the foot when your

child is out of the boots.

Ben's foot when relaxed sits well, slightly over corrected. As soon

as he flexes he moves his foot to the regressed position. If he

stands on his own out of his boots 99% of the time he will stand

like Wayne with his feet overcorrected, at other times however

he goes up onto his tip toes with his foot curving in.

When we are stretching his foot he is only able to achieve a

position of just past 90 degrees between his foot and his shin. His

none affected foot is able to go and 30 degrees past this point.

At the time of Ben's tenotomy the correction achieved was

disappointing and it is expected that he will have further

lengthening of his tendon when he is older.

Has anyone had experience of this also?

Best wishes to everyone
