Guest guest
Hi everyone; hope your New Year is starting out fine. I will be leaving Illinois on Wednesday, the 15, to go home to land. As soon as I get there I will set up appointments with my family physician and an endo doc, so I can get this surgery over and done with. I am very scared; not of the surgery itself, but the fact that it is such a delicate operation that may affect my vocal chords or that may cause me to have to have a tracheotomy. I just wish I knew for sure if it was cancer -- I hate having to go through this if it isn't malignant. Does anyone know of the blood test they have now that tells you whether or not you have cancer -- doesn't say where, but tells you it is present somewhere in your body? If it was negative, then I would know my thyroid was okay, right? If it was positive, it may not be my thyroid but at least I would feel better about the surgery. Thanks to everyone for their support. Cheryl
