Guest guest
Have you had labs for cortisol? A saliva panel would be best and post ranges with your results. Also Ferritin is commonly low when there is hairless,. I disagree with your doctor about lowering stress fixing adrenals., There are over 3000 member s of my adrenal group that would also disagree with this. Any thyroid labs you can post?> -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
I have not had my Ferritin tested, but I did call my doctor before Christmas and asked for the test, he never called me back. I have an appointment with him on Monday Jan 4. Should I ask him for any other tests? Below are my adrenal and thyroid results. T4, Free Direct 1.02 0.61 - 1.76 TSH 0.942 0.450 - 4.500 Free T3 2.7 2.3 - 4.2 Reverse T3 362 H pg/ml 90 - 350 Adrenal 7:00 0.310 0.025 - 0.600 12:00 0.010 < 0.010 - 0.330 4:00 0.019 0.010 - 0.200 11:00 < 0.010 < 0.010 - 0.090 I'm having trouble finding things on this forum, it took me all day to find if I received any responses to my post. I feel I should get something to boost my adrenals. I just tried Isocort, but I didn't like the way it made me feel. I only took two pellets yesterday and I was awake all night. I also think I should be taking T3. I did order cynomel, but I'm not crazy about self medicating myself. I'm just tired of going from one doctor to another and everyone of them said my lab results are normal.
Guest guest
With your cortisol labs I kind of doubt Isocort would be stroing enough for you but you could try a MUCH high er dose of it. When you take meds containing cortisol it lowers ACTh adn when we have adrenal fatigu ethe pituitary si voer sensitive ot coritls so it lowers it LOT causing you to go even lower later in the day so you MUST take 4 doses to feel better when takign it. I would suggest dosing 4 pellets in the Am then in four hours three pellets then four hours 2 pellets and 1 at bedtime. Thsi mimicks cortils natiural rythm and may help you. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
I got a reaction taking the isocrot. I took one and my heart was racing. I did not feel good after taking it. I can't even imagine taking more than one at a time. Is this normal, to make you feel horrible? I was supposed to go out today and couldn't because of the way I felt after taking Isocort. I was up all night last night after taking 1 pellet yeaterday morning and 1 pellet yesterday afternoon. I am usually very sensitive to meds. So, now what else can I take? Thanks for any advice. Guest guest
Hi Jackie, I'm new to this site also. I have had severe hair loss since 2002, and I like you, have bald spots. I've been to many docs in Boston and NYC and spend thousands on wigs and hair tonics like you and still in a bad place. I was loosing at least 300 hairs a day. Now, I don't lose that much, since I have so little left on my head! Found out I have a ratio of T3 to RT3 of 9.21. The sites say anything under 20 is bad? So anyway, I'm hoping the dose of T3 my doc put me on (5 mcg twice a day) will be enough for my hair to grow back. Other than thin/stawlike, dry hair, I have dry skin, fatigue, body aches, depression, PMS, etc. I don't have constipation, and am at a good body weight, and exercise regularly. I find yoga helpful since it keeps me toned and low stress for my adrenals. Any adrenal cortisol test that I have taken (and I have taken at least 3-4 in the past 8 years) shows failing adrenals. I've tried so much to get them well, and found Vitamin C at large doses is the best thing I've found. Doc had me on HC pills (10 mg) and they never seemed to help. I felt no difference on or off of them. My doc also prescribed a T3/progesterone hair oil to rub on scalp daily. It will take 3 months for me to probably notice any results. I will keep you posted on this site. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any other questions. I'm 45 1/2 for the record. > > > > > > Hi, I'm new to the forum, so I don't know how it works.
