Guest guest
Hi Lee: May I suggest you take a look at our Database. Look for the last topic entitled " Suggested Reading " . You might be interested in some of the posts, including Dofetilide & Me. While there, you might also want to check out the " Dofetilide Therapy " - which is actually the first topic. If so, were there any breakthroughs in rhythm. (snip) ***********************

Guest guest
Lee - I started out in the hospital at 1000 mcg Tikosyn (to try to convert me) back in Feb, got electroverted and dropped to 500 mcg... two weeks later on vacation (in south america!) I went back into afib, and was upped to 750 mcg, which I'm still taking. When I started, I was on Cardizem as well... was put on Coumadin and Laprinosil (Lasinopril) [* WOMEN OF CHILD BEARING AGE NOT USING PROTECTION SHOULD NOT TAKE LASINOPRIL.. causes fetal death]... when I went back into afib I was switched from cardizem to atenelol. A couple weeks ago I went off coumadin, but continue with the 750 mcg Tikosyn and the Atenelol (also take lasix). I have ZERO negative side effects from these two drugs, I'm in normal rhythm, and only every once in a while I'll have a few seconds of odd beats! My cardio actually asked me if I considered going off the Tikosyn, but at this point my answer is no. Stef
