Congratulations on the birth of your baby Zoya and way to go with carrying full

term!!!!!

I'm sure you are enjoying every sleep deprived moment with her : ) The

breastfeeding will

be well worth it out as you sound like you are really working at it.

I wanted to comment on your question about retained placenta.

I am BU (although they thought I was SU throughout the whole pregnancy) & I

delivered my

child early @ 34 weeks and had a vag. birth and also a retained placenta. After

Emma was

born they had difficulty delivering the placenta due to my funky shaped uterus

and

had to take me to the operating room to deliver it. My OB here thinks it was

done almost as a d & c but I don't know exactly how they did it. It was tested

and found to

be normal, I believe it was just stuck way deep inside due to the shape of my

uterus.

My daughter Emma Rose is perfectly healthy and just petite and we are really

fortunate. She was sent home weighing 3 lbs 13 oz. and spent very little time in

intensive

care. I think I am at risk for the same retained placenta if we have another

baby too but we

are just enjoying Emma right now.
