Guest guest
I was just curious how many of you with chronic pain would use marijuana if it was legal where you lived. Sometimes I wonder when I hurt so much but it would be weird married to a Detective. I know it is legal in some states. ??????? Guest guest
You are right to raise this question, because no one else cares about the seriousness of banning legal drugs that work, thus forcing honest people to go illegal. If you find out anything - email me.Aber I went to a pain doc for 6 years. At first he only had 4 chairs in his waiting room. He was a great doc then. It was my hubby that first started going to him from being re-ended by a truck going 70mph while hubby sat still at a red light in his patrol car.He has many herniated disc and nerve damage. A lot of the same things as me. Mine was from a drunk driver though. He gave my hubby meds that worked and he could stil work taking them. This Doc started getting more and more greedy as he grew and opened up all kinds of offices, surgery centers,PT place etc. When my hubby would be doing fine he started changing his meds and he was doing horrible. We know the doc just wanted to do more nerve blocks etc. This Doc last year started all kinds of crap and we had to get away from him. I was on everything under the sun and it got to where it did not even help. So I got off that junk and went back to my sports meds doc. He knows me and knows I don't want to just abuse meds. We thought them saying they are addictive drugs and people can't have them. Well, unless you can make me a new body what does it matter if the drug works because I will be having this pain the rest of my life. I dought I would ever smoke it. I have kids and I would have a hard time figuring if it was right or not. Carol in Fla
Guest guest
marijuan question.... Have you had children? Did you try Entonox (Gas & Air) during labour? That is the best example of true pain on 'high' drugs. I tried this for a bit with 1st child. It was like being very high & in extreme pain & no way to speak or tell people of pain - like paralisise of tongue! Very frightening. From this legal experience I know to never use 'high' drugs for pain, because I could be left with pain & no way to comminicate - ultimate fear, like being buried alive. Do you see my point? Pain relief has to come from oral analgisics. These are constantly being banned in each Country. They are non-addictive, non-dopeing, no side effects, yet are being banned! This is where your drug focus should be - legal drugs that work that they dont want us to have!!!!!!!! You have been distracted as many people have by illegal argument, because it was crucial to their cover-up of banning legal drugs that worked. No idea why.A mystery. If you want a fight - find out why legal drugs that worked are now banned (suicide rate blamed, yet was lower than Paracetomol suicide rate, which is still legal over the counter), e.g Coproximol (prescription only & is perfect antipain drug & low suicide, is banned 2005). That is where your genuine pain relief lies - find the truth as to why prescription non-addictive, low suicide drugs are banned. They are the key. If they ban all this then that only leaves Marijuana! Why would Governments want this to be the only option? What is in it for them? You are right to raise this question, because no one else cares about the seriousness of banning legal drugs that work, thus forcing honest people to go illegal. If you find out anything - email me. Guest guest
I wouldn't... not because it's pot, illegal... whatever... but because after all the years of taking pain meds to try to cut the pain... and it not working, I've found out that by getting the right thyroid med for me and the dosage up where I need it that ALL the pain went away.... why mask pain when you can make it stop? Considering pain is a signal from the body that something is wrong..... isn't it the same as shooting the messenger.? I've read quite a few article about addictions and thyroid and that there are some studies that are showing that some of the folks that get into addictions (drinking, smoking, drugs) do so in an attempt to feel more 'normal' and are found to be suffering from malfunctioning thyroid..... When the thyroid hormones are adjust to healthy levels the addictions go away, the chemicals that were used as crutches are no longer needed. Interesting reading. Guest guest
I agree with the last post on this subject and I would like to add that Canabis has over 300 chemicals in it as well; the more common one known as THC. No, actually it doesn't have to come from them. Brain chemistry is much more complicated than this. There are plenty of medications besides analgisics that treat pain. Doesn't mean I don't agree with the banning of them, BTW. I just know plenty of people who didn't get relief from them and plenty of migraine sufferers who ended up with terrible rebound pain back when that was all we had to deal with it. But, in answer to the question, I'm just not sure if I would or not. It's actually legal and illegal in California right now. According to California law, it's legal but federal law stills says no. I know people who use it and get relief from it--both from pain and nausea. Many of these people have tried everything without getting help. Pain is VERY complicated and people react differently to different medications. I think the more things out there for people to use, the better. One argument that I hate to hear is " there's something else that helps most people " . What do you do if you aren't " most " people? Why have I not used it? My family has a genetic predisposition to addiction. I don't happen to have it but I'm trying to model for my kids. Of course, the argument goes the other way, too. Both of them have had times in their life when their own migraines were unrelenting. My son was only 4 and having 2-3 day migraines with nausea the entire time. He's 17 now and doesn't have major problems anymore. But my daughter has menstrual migraines from H*LL along with killer cramps and nausea. We're considering using seasonale on her to give her a break (she gets a period every 25 days right now). She's only 13 which is why we are hesitating a bit about using the pill. And, she can't keep much of anything down when it's happening. Georgia

Georgia

They will do or use anything to be high. Last week my husband arrested a few people that had large bottles and no label. They even turn these into powder and sniff it like coke or cook it on a spoon and shoot up. He said with one soma sniffed it gives you a 3 day high. He is a property Detective right now and almost all are drug related. Steal to buy drugs. CA
