My current GP thinks that I should go off of mino and just take Zithromax, once a month. This is the way they treat heart patients with underlying clamydia, ect. I have been to another doctor in my area that uses AP, but have not been doing so well and my insurance does not cover them. I have trouble tollerating mino and so I am on the lowest dose. Doxy didn't seem to have the same effect though and trouble with yeast. I didn't want to take plaquenil, but am having troulbe with stiff joints ect now and getting worse. I have also read that plaquenil is, or has sulf in it? I can't take sulfa or sulfer related drugs. I whish I had known that when they gave me DMPS also. I just am really feeling like a guinney pig and would like to know if Zithromax can help or is it a waste of time and I don't think once a month for year is going to show any results. Thanks, Marti P.S. I don't take any pain medication as of yet, but can tell you if this continues to get worse I may need some soon.
