Experiments don't work in my house either!!! Once I tried not doing his

laundry at all....and not picking up his clothes that laid around, but

it drives me nuts too, so I weaken... :)

Thanks, yes that is the proper medical way to put it isn't it., It is a

matter of the placenta being over the os or not. I think we are

talking about the same thing then, aren't we? That in a small

unstretched uterus of early pregnancy, it can appear to be over

the os, but its real placement is only completely clear once

everything stretches fully. If it has attached over the os, then it

cannot actually move off that position without detaching.

And you are right too, that Amy needn't get alarmed. Janet's

advice was to just find out whether there really is any problem

(we hope not). If there might be, find out what you need to watch

for and use your OB's expertise to do so. Then for your baby's

sake, put this to one side and get wholeheartedly into all the

wonderful stuff of being pregnant.

I had another u/s today. The placenta has moved. My cervix is 3.4 which my

doc said felt short - i meet with her tomorrow. I started having

contractions a few weeks ago, and they got very strong a few times a day so

I saw the doc tuesday. They put me on bedrest. I have an infection and

have been on meds since tuesday evening but the contractions are still

there. They will probably put me on another monitor tomorrow. I had a ton

of contractions the last time I was on the monitor. Thankfully they aren't

strong though. (just the few times a day anyway). At first I thought they

were braxton hicks but these were painful. The baby is just fine though.

At both u/s's he had one of his eyes open. Weirdest thing!

If it isn't the graves its something else *sigh*

Hi Amy,

Prayers for you and the little one...I know from experience, if the doctor

has put you on bedrest, listen to him, even if you think you feel fine...it

is tough at times, but so worth it in the end! Let us know as you can with

the tests and your meeting with the doctor.

Thanks :) Bedrest certainly does suck. I'm just praying she'll let me off

it tomorrow! If not I guess I'll have time to read some books :) I can't

complain too much - the baby is healthy and that's all that matters.

Hi Amy,

Prayers for you and the baby. I was on complete bedrest the last time I was

pregnant and know it isn't much fun. Looking on the bright side I learned

how to crochet. We put a single bed in the family area downstairs and that

is where I spent my days. Take care.

Hi Amy, boy can I relate. Ispent much of a few of my pregnancies in bed

and had quite strong contractions at 26 weeks with ph this last summer.

Read watch tv, crochet, just rest! It's so worth it once the baby is here.

they never said i had to go on bed rest, but i was

kind of there most of the time anyway. i had

hyperemisis. they said it was from thegraves and there

was nothing theycould do about it. every time i bent

over or pretty much did anything i would puke. i am

not a sit still kind of person, and being in bed

really sucked, but it was best to do to keep the

little guy in there longer! good luck Amy, and hang in

there.

It seems that I have irritable cervix which is causing the contractions.

They are going to decide monday what to do as far as bedrest vs limited

activity. Thanks for the prayers.
