Hi Joe- My oncologist told me that it is an average of 3-4 mths to

get improvement. The Oxaliplatin literature says that 1% of people

have residual neuropathies at 1 yr. Remember, 5-FU can also cause

neuropathies, although not so dramatic as with oxaliplatin.

Joe,

Most of the text I read states it could take up to a year for

feeling to return. Like you, my sister's hands and feet continue to

get worse - and she's been off Oxilaplatin since November of 2003.

Her oncologist told her that it is permanent.
