Yes, getting the olive oil down in the morning is rough, so here's

what I've come up with: If I have something hot for breakfast, like

oatmeal or hot rice, I wait till it's relatively cool, then I add the

olive oil to that (I like it with rice so much, I won't eat it

without olive oil now). If I eat any type of cold cereal, I add it

to that. When I eat something I can't mix it with (like muffins),

I've sometimes had to swallow the olive oil by itself after

breakfast, and it's pretty rough, so I drink a full glass of water

immediately after, 'cause it kinda burns my throat, so I definitely

prefer it mixed with food.

Also, if you read Mark's diet, he says to take this much till

" transit time improves " , then cut back to the one serving at

suppertime. And here's the link to his diet:

My uncle said he drank a couple of tablespoons full of olive oil a

day. He lived to be over 90. It's really good for health reasons. He

had rosacea also if I remember correctly.

My parents are from the old country and the folk remedies I remember

were to drink olive oil and chamomile tea (not together) for various

ailments

I haven't tried the olive oil method yet, but as far as breakfast foods that

could easily incorperate olive oil, try cheese grits.

Hi ,

From

" ...The International Olive Oil Institute recommends using pure

olive oil for frying, since the flavor of extra virgin olive oil

tends to break down at frying temperatures, making the added expense

a waste. "

(That link has more interesting info on olive oil)

So any brand of pure olive oil should be fine.

This link is titled " Virgin Olive Oil May Reduce Cholesterol Damage "

At this link http://www.mercola.com/2002/apr/24/olive_oil.htm

More good info at http://www.olivetree.eat-online.net/framehealth.htm

It seems that olive oil actually helps prevent problems.
