Guest guest
fun I had my first ablation in January of this year. No a-fib for two and one half weeks and then it slowly came back worse than ever. I had my second ablation in April and I am in week 7 without a missed beat. The original circle cut around my pulmonary vein where the a-fib was originating from had 2 gaps in it. The doctor merely patched the gaps and made an additional semi-circle outside the original gaps. I'm starting to run again, playing with and enjoying my children, and re-establishing a wonderful relationship with my wife. Don't give up, even if a second ablation is necessary. I was incredibly frustrated after the first failure but the way I feel now makes it all worth it. Jim, a-fib free in sunny, hot, humid Florida. Thanks for the note. the doc keeps telling me there is a 2 or 3 month window to call this a failure or success. At week 5 still hoping for success. Thanks again Steve in Denver Hoping to vacation in sunny Florida soon as I'm beating normal.

Guest guest
Jim, am so glad to hear about your sucesssful second ablation. My first one did not work, but had another one on May 12th, and except for 2 very brief episodes, I am feeling better than I have in years. I had a bad experience after the first ablation, but didn't give up and now am so much better. I agree with you....don't give up...NSR makes it all worthwhile. I too, am in sunny, hot, humid Fl. Am very glad for you......... Re: looking for people with reoccuring problems after ablation. fun I had my first ablation in January of this year.
