I think i posted too soon. As I've been checking the web, there are loads of ASL

cert. programs-maybe the state of PA is just a bit behind!

Barb,

there ARE certified people and there are programs. Are you talking about people

certified to teach ASL?Are you talking about PA only? Let me think about this

and get some names for you.

Ok, so I thought I could be more helpful than I am in actuality!!! Most places

have training programs as the woman from Texas suggested (usually based in

Univ.; ours, for example, are " hosted " by NorthEastern Univ, Northern Essex

Community College, and BU). I can't find yours!!! BUT....if you call (and you

may have already done this) your local Deaf Services/Interpreter Referral Bureau

they can get you what you need. Those agencies hire only certified

interpreters so they will know the connection to the training programs and you

can get the rest.

So...hope this is somewhat helpful!!!
