Joyce,

That is a long time for downloading. I'll check again.

I've been googling but not finding much on when these treatments are

indicated. Of course, I keep finding that the liver resection is

preferred, but the research abstracts don't show a huge difference in

survival rates between resection and ablation. It may be that those

RFAs could leave a clean margin?

The Cleveland Clinic, lived in Cleveland for many years, shows a

better statistical survival rate for RFAs on less than 5 cm lesions

but not a huge difference.

Wishing you great success with your upcominig meeting at UV. All my SR

treatments cost LESS than the one treatment of CPT-11, 5FU and leuc.

that I had the week before the SR. They were not happy @ Roswell when I

changed treatment suddenly. It was the best decision that I made. I am

still here 5 years later. I learned that I have to advocate for myself.

Duke does a lot of SR. Hang in there ... we are all in this together.

Take care and God bless. Cliff . . . . " ALL things are possiible. Pass

Thank you, Cliff. Why on earth do the drugs cost so much more, R &

D? Whether Medicare will pay for this is also a concern as insurance

of any kind does not want to cover much it seems. Though Medicare

has done fairly well so far; the supplemental insurance has paid

virtually nothing.

Just keep up that positive spirit!
