Down four lbs this week, I am so ready to be under 280 and in

the '70s. Im happy with it, and glad that even eating Chinese on

wednesday didn't negate all the other good things I did this week. I

walked every day but two, (realized that the weekends are 'prime

time " for walking, since the kids all nap and i can get out alone

with hubby there) and did two 2-milers. yesterday I walked down to

the lowe's down the street and back, and on the way also went to the

grocery and got yellow squash, eggplant, and the big catch-- lb

packets of frozen mixed soup veg. for .39c each.. woo hoo... BTW,

Have you guys noticed that when you are grocery shopping, your

purchases are a whole lot healthier these days? I also tend to look

over other people's groceries on the conveyor belt or in the shopping

carts and notice the good and the bad choices. Its like in everything

I do, Im 'correcting " here and there in what i do and what i eat.

more veggies, less oily things. More water, less soda. More action,

less sitting on the couch and riding the bus.

Christi - You are doing great. All the things that you are doing are

making a difference. 4 pounds is awesome. I know how you feel because

I lost 4 this week. Rare for me, and I hope you are on top of the

world. Keep on doing exactly what you are doing!

Great loss, Christi! That's awesome. You're just chugging right along :).

Yes, I've noticed that about my groceries. I went shopping last night and was

very interested as I watched my purchases go by. Fresh broccoli, yellow squash,

zucchini, red and green peppers, lettuce, tomato. Lots of canned veggies too,

and lean meat, 2% cheese, etc. Completely opposite from a few short months ago

when it would have been loaded down with frozen meals, cookies, and potato

chips. Feels good, doesn't it?

I've also noticed that, having started to actually take care of myself, I'm

finding myself wanting to take better care of Hubby too. He's as thin as a rail.

Every Dr. he's ever seen has expressed concern. He's one of those guys that has

a killer metabolism. So, I'm trying to figure out how to get him to eat more

calories with no more fat/cholesterol. As much as possible, I don't let him eat

my reduced calorie stuff. Feeding him lots of veggies, and bought him a really

good, heavy wheat bread (man it's good, and it better be at 2 pts a slice).

Anyway, it's amazing what WW will do to a person. I'm glad I'm doing this now,

before we have kids, so that when we do have them, we'll be able to feed them

nutritious food and teach them good eating habits. :)

Christi,

Congratulations on a terrific 4-lb loss this week! I totally know what you

mean about wanting to get into the 270s. Each " decade " has been really

significant to me... by " decade " I mean each time I get below something that

ends in

zero (like 270, 260). And for some really weird reason, each time I'm just

above that mark it gets really hard to shove the scale down below it. Did I say

that in a way that makes sense?

Anyway, I'm pulling for you. You're doing great. Hang in there!
