Guest guest
My dear boy has become a bit of a wild-child lately. At first I only thought about med toxicity in terms of his anti-convulsants. Then today it dawned on me that his new aggression could somehow be related to the Prednisone (along w/another steroid-type med) he takes for his Myasthenia. Anyone have any experience w/the diet and steroids...? (Or am I merely barking up another tree..?) Thanks. Tracey
Guest guest
Hi Tracey, We are about to begin prednisone next week and are leaving the diet in place. All the literature and anecdotes from other pred parents warns of mood swings. I would definitely believe that it is the steroids. I think the diet helps to keep appetite in check and to prevent problems with prednisone and carbohydrate metabolism. I have not heard any tips yet on how to counter the aggression, only to expect it. Sorry I'm not more help. Ann Prednisone w/the diet My dear boy has become a bit of a wild-child lately.
