Today is St Nicolas's feast day on the " old " calendar - and we have a

car! We can't really afford it, and we'll be eating beans and rice for the

next month to cover the down payment, but Himself can go to work Monday!

Well, it's an old car (1999) but almost this century! ;-)

I think even if I had a lot of money, I wouldn't pay what new cars cost

these days! I can remember when a HOUSE cost less!

But it's flashy and red and actually comfy for me to sit in, which is

more than can be said for our LAST car. Tomorrow we'll get our priest to

bless it for a long and safe life...
