We have already got his gifts n stuff ready so he doesn't get lost in the shuffle of a new baby. Keep us updated how your doing. I hope that I don't end up getting pregnant so that I'd deliver in August though. It's already hectic enough. My birthday is on the 24th, anniversary on the 26th, and my sweetie's bday is the 30th! Combine all that with LabourDay weekend.... great excuse for a yearly vacation! I'm hoping for a July baby, otherwise though, it really doesn't matter. My oldest was born in May, the second born in June, so July would be nice:) But it's not a necessity. I just want to get pregnant!!! Guest guest Posted July 31, 2002 Report Share Posted July 31, 2002 My girls are 10 & 12 years old, so this is a subject I think about on a daily basis, and my husband & I discussed in great lengths before we decided we were going to TTC. Kayleigh (12) wants a younger sibling... boy or girl doesn't matter, she just wants a little one to indulge and play with. Chelsea (10) wants to retain her role as the baby of the family. It will be hard for her to give that up, but she has a lot of fun playing with the babies that our friends have, so I think she will be won over. Background info before my question: these two are from my marriage. My husband has taken them in as his own, and wants at least one with me, maybe 2. The thought we are still debating over, and maybe some people here will have advice or suggestions... Should we just have 1 baby, and dote on s/he, and allow our girls to pamper and spoil? Or should we be thinking of having 2 quickly, and having sort of a generational thing, where the other kids are older and the younger two have the chance to bond like the older two did? (they are extremely close... when I was pregnant with Chelsea I was always telling Kayleigh that the baby was going to be her best friend. That she would always have someone to talk to). There are pros & cons to both approaches, so we're in limbo. Obviously things will depend on outside factors (how the kids handle a new baby, how I'm feeling after one pregnancy... ie, if I gain too much weight, I most likely won't be doing it again!) But aside from those uncontrollables, what do other people think? Thanks!
