I **************** Hi Joe, I have been on Sotalol and Warfarin for over four months now. The only thing now with the Warfarin is I watch my vitamin K intake more. I have not noticed any new side effect from the Warfarin and the Sotalol together. Maybe if you just relax and accept the new drug you will not be so stressed taking it and your symptoms will go away? Hope your feeling better. Feel free to write me direct anytime. Identify in subject line so your not put to spam..lol a in Massachusetts NSR Sotalol 80 x 2 Warfarin 5 mg alternated with 7 1/2 Mg EOD
Guest guest
Joe, I take Coumadin and a beta blocker atenolol, among other things. As far as I can tell the Coumadin causes me no symptoms such as you describe. However sometimes beta blockers ( I think sotalol is one) can make you feel that way. When I was first put on beta blockers I was on Lopressor which made me fee the way you describe so I was changed to atenolol. No problems since. We each seem to respond differently to drugs and perhaps your doctor would be willing for you to try something else instead of the sotalol, if that is the culprit. Good luck! Guest guest
Joe: I found Coumadin to have no side effects for me, but the sotalol was the most hateful drug I have ever taken; its side effects became, over time, intolerable. I would look to leave sotalol and find/insist on another drug. I recall many here who had the same problem with that drug. (Some, however, did not have that experience, but in your case (as in mine) sotalol was the demon drug. (All was resolved once I had my second ablation with Dr. Natale.)
