Guest guest
Hey Everyone, Guess what, surprised me with a vacation to the Smoky Mountains today. We are leaving after lunch and will be gone until Tuesday. She actually had already asked my boss for the time off for me. So I am busy packing and am so excited!!! I'll catch up when I get back. Guest guest
JoAnn, It really was wonderful. The weather was fantastic, the outlet malls plentiful, and the food was well.....a little too good. All in all it was nice to get away. I am dreading going back to work, but it'll be nice to be back in the "groove" of normal life again. Dana 22 weeks 5 days

Guest guest
Hi to all, Just back from vacation and wow, has it been busy--it will take me a long time to read all the emails I've missed! I see there are a lot of new " faces " and as I can, will try to help or at least encourage, but wanted to post just a little update. First, Kaye, you hang in there with your new chemo...you can do it, my Bowling Green friend. I have a niece who may be going to college in your town next year! a, Monika, Joe, the " other Joe " and Kris--you guys are wonderful with the responses you give; you are so knowledgeable! Anyway, my brother and sister-in-law are doing great. We spent a few days with them and they are a marvel. My brother has tomatoes in his garden about the size of a good size serving dish. He is sooo proud of his " half-runner " green beans and my hubbie and I savored some of his veggies and they hosted a pool (outside their lower level home) party for 18. If you remember back about six months ago, he was in the hospital, severely dehydrated. However, must hurry, because I've just gotten bad news that a niece has passed away (52) and must repack and head for Virginia. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, Betty Younger brother in KY. age-62 10/01 CC; resection; TMN stage: pT3N2MX (Stage III) 5FU/Lev-6 months 9/03 PET showed recurrent met (left para-aortic malignant lymph nodes); Xeloda/Oxiplatin infusions and 25 radiation treatments Hospitalized 2/04--8 days severe hand/foot syndrome & diahrrea- 30 lb weight loss; colonscopy-clear.
