Guest guest
, Patty had an MRI done and they found a microadenomia (sp?) in her pituitary. That's just a long word for a specific small benign tumor which they think she was born with. At first that scared me but it's no big deal. Because of the microadenomia she has a high level of prolactin (hormonal stuff) and was on put on hormone replacement for that. Best of luck. Guest guest
Just catching up on old email and had experience with the MRI pituitary problem. s opthamologist requested the MRI to research the colobomas. This is when we learned that the back of the pituitary gland did not migrate properly in utero so this would explain why he had a micropenis. The endrocronologist explained that there could be several things impacted by this finding or nothing another " wait and see " diagnosis. Anyway, she instructed us to keep good track of his growth, especially at 9 mos. as this will be the first " growth spurt period " . She normally sees patients for the symptom and then they do the MRI to find the explaination but in s case it was backward so she can only tell us what could possiby happen to him. Hope that makes sense. - mom to 7.5 mo CHaRGE

Guest guest
, Thank you for your response to the MRI. We just had that test ordered for my son Mark but were unable to get it because he can not be still for that amount of time We have a follow up appointment on Mon with the endocrine Dr. He has micropenis and now we find is also deficient in the growth hormone, male hormone, and Vit D.
