Hi everyone,

I was diagnosed with UD (that's the abbreviation for didelphic,

right?) about 6 years ago, when I was in college. I am getting

married this summer and am starting to freak out (again) about ttc.

We are not going to start trying for a year or two, but I have heard

all sorts of conflicting opinions from doctors about what problems I

will or will not have to deal with. I have been looking around here

and am glad to see that having healthy full-term babies is not out of

the realm of possibility. Has anyone had trouble getting pg or just

with m/c? Thanks - I'm sure I'll be back with more questions soon!

Hi ,

I also have UD and it took me just over 3 years to get pregnant with nothing

else wrong. I was beginning to feel as though I would never concieve, but

my dr. finally tried to do an IUI in my smaller uterus and it took, although

I am at risk for a premature delivery. I am 10 weeks right now.

If you are young, waiting should be no problem, but consider your age before

waiting too long,

Good luck,

Looking for an RE now might not be a bad idea. Or, you could talk to your

OB at your next pre-TTC checkup and talk to her about the special early

monitoring you might need. Because, the upside to a MA is that you're

probably going to be eligible for lots of early ultrasounds and the like.

And trust me, once you see those two pink lines, you'll want an ultrasound

as often as possible. Your OB also might want to order some tests (like

the blood and antibody panels that are part of a fertility workup) to try to

eliminate any potential problems. It can't hurt to ask, right?

Good luck!
