Re: resection surgery question

Hi, . I had my lap/hyst 5/17/04. At my f/u apt my dr gave me 2 video

tapes of the surgery. One of the lap - showing my ovaries, tubes, septum, etc.

and the other one showing the actual resection surgery. He gave me both tapes

to take home, cause he said if I ever seen any other dr in the future (say my

ob) it would be important for me to have. I don't know that this is the norm

for all drs, but it sure was nice to be able to take them home with me after

everything I've been through.

I honestly do not know what the size of my septum was. All I know is that it

was extremely large and broad. I guess maybe I should ask that question.

I asked my doctor for pictures of my uterus before and after and he

gave them to me right away, before I left the hospital.

measurement. I was kind of disappointed becaus I wanted to know the

exact size. He said " It was very thick, non-maleable and pretty

long, but I've seen longer ones " .
