Guest guest
<<When I wiped, I noticed blood on the tissue. Not a whole lot, but not a little either. It was bright red and I immediately began to panic. >> Layci, I'm so sorry you had to go through this! And I'm so happy to hear all is ok (minus the sinus infection and possible kidney infection- ugh). Also particularly nice to know your doctor took you seriously and saw you right away--so important. By the way, did the doctor give any explanation (other than stress) as to why you bled? I've been particularly curious about bleeding during pregnancy and UD women (what happens to the lining from the un-pregnant uterus during pregnancy all that time?). I'll continue to send good thoughts your way! Miriam, 28 y/o, UD, TTC#

Guest guest
Thanks for the concerns, guys. In the middle of the night last night, I got up to go to the restroom and the blood was there again. Thank goodness I had seen the doctor just hours before who told me the baby and my cervix was ok or else I would have really been stressing. The blood has gone away again and after talking to my mom, we really think that I do have a kidney or bladder infection. I didn't mention to my dr. yesterday when I saw her that my back had been hurting, but after she said that it was possible the blood was from a bladder infection, that made me think that she was right. The reasons are because 1. The blood only shows up when I go to the bathroom. It isn't coming on it's own like when you have a period and it hasn't appeared in my underwear either. 2. I've had no cramping or pain. 3. When the dr. did the trans vag. sono and checked my cervix, there was no blood on the sonogram wand or on her glove. 4. So far today, the blood isn't showing up during the day when I am drinking lots of fluids, only at night when it has been awhile since I've gone to the bathroom or had anything to drink. So, I am going to call the dr. on Monday and tell her that I think I need to have a urine culture done. I'm almost positive it is some kind of kidney infection because why else would my back be hurting like this and why else would the blood just disappear? Anyway, it's enough to freak a pregnant woman out but at least I know that my baby is ok. Again, thanks for all of your concerns. I'll let you know when we figure out exactly what's going on. ~Layci
