Is Isocort sufficient in my case?

I somehow lost Nick and 's replies to this post, but I remember asking me for my cortisol test levels. Here they are:

6AM-8AM 12 (depressed) REF 113-24 nM

11AM-Noon 4 (depressed) REF 5-10 nM

4PM-5PM 3 (Normal) REF 3-8 nM

10PM-Midnight 6 (elevated) REF 1-4 nM

I have been on Isocort because my naturopath is VERY conservative. I've been taking 3 when I wake up, 3 around 11 AM and 2-3 around 1PM. PS did almost nothing to get me to sleep through the night at first (as well as adding 4,000 mg of Vit C and Melatonin and Holy Basil). However, as time has gone by with supplementing Iron and eating more meat, I have been sleeping through the night lately. I AM on Iodine (50mg per day divided in 4 Iodoral capsules).

So I think my main question (for now) is this: is the Isocort sufficient, or do I need HC?

If I need HC could you suggest a dosing schedule (or direct me to information on dosing online)?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Lea Ann

Re: Maybe I did a dumb thing

I woudl reduce the T3 to 62.5 qnd go to 30mg HC for three days. It is a VERY delicate balance for many of us and I have crashed myself more times than I care to remember, but it slwoly resolves with tweaking the dose slowly in the right direction. I had to keep my HC pretty high while I raised the T3 wher it neexded ot be but once it got UP ther ethe HC needs dropped off quickly.-- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WVhttp://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
