Guest guest
Penny, RCF - 100gm is 4.0 protein, 7.2 gm fat, 0.0 carb - 575gm is 23.0 protein, 40.2 fat, 0.0 carb sterile water - 0.0 microlipids - 100gm is 0.0 protein, 50.0 fat, 0.0 carb - 197gm is 0.0 protein, 98.5 fat, 0.0 carb Polycose powder - 100gm 0.0 protein, 0.0 fat, 94.0 carb You will have to weigh the powder to get the amount of carb in the polycose powder. Vitamins and calcium would have no calories to speak of, less than 1 likely. Water for flushes has 0.0 calories. I don't know about the trileptal. You would have to ask the pharmacist or manufacturer, but it would likely be very small or zero. For the RCF and microlipids, you have 23.0 protein, 138.5 fat, 0.0 carb. Protein is 4 cal/gm, fat is 9 cal/gm. The total is 1246.5 calories from fat and 92 calories from protein plus the calories from the polycose powder at 4 calories per gm of carbohydrate. Hope that helps, Bill penny wrote: > HI > > Another queston form another newbie! > > how do you all count calories.....IE the formula for feeding > tubes.. > > I give is: 575 RCF formula > 618 sterile water > 197 microlips > 2tbls and 3/4 teaspoon of polycose powder > 1 vitamin > 3 calcium > > and she gets another 70 cc of water thru the flushes with 6ml of > trileptal BID..... > > what part of all that is actual calories? > > thanks Penny > > > > " The Ketogenic Diet....a realistic treatment option, NOT just a last resort!
